Yin yoga is a practice of letting go. The postures are relatively simple and easy to learn. It is suitable for people of all body types and in virtually any condition. Yin yoga focuses on the deep “yin” or dense tissues of the body, namely the facia, connective tissue and anatomically the bones and joints, as distinct from the yang forms of yoga that focus on musculature. Yin poses are gentle, and the focus is on cultivating a state of forgiveness and surrender, allowing gravity, body weight, simple props and time to have its natural effects to open the energetic pathways of the body.
During the class you will be bathed with full spectrum of sound washing over your body and mind, from deeply resonant didgeridoo and clearing gong to activating crystal bowls and purifying mantras. The sound is a powerful medium that can help clear blockages, release stagnant energy and balance your system for greater health and vitality.
